The Challenge
I was brought on by a start-up to design their first-ever magazine—an introduction to a new trading card game built around cryptids like Bigfoot. The goal: connect with a young, curious audience and tap into the nostalgia of gamers raised on classics like Pokémon.
To bridge both worlds, I created a clean, dynamic layout and developed original textures using custom icons I helped design.
What started as a one-off promo became a hit with fans—so much so, it’s now a quarterly release, unveiling each new game expansion.
